The simple truth is I was never the genetically gifted person who has always been in great shape. I could never just eat whatever I wanted with no external consequences. I understand the struggles of food lovers, being overweight, and all of the issues that arise from that lifestyle. I’ve been there and still struggle at times…

After high school I began packing on the extra weight as so many people tend to do. Life happens, priorities change, and the time in a day seems to become less and less. Very suddenly, I was 75 pounds heavier than my High School weight.

However, after doing a simple blood pressure check in my mid 20’s I immediately realized a couple of things. First, my blood pressure was too high and second, if I didn’t make some life changes I would likely follow the same history of heart problems that plagued my own father for much of his life. That very day I decided I’d had enough and I wanted more for myself and my family. I wanted to be around for a long time and feel better physically.

I made it my mission to begin learning more and more about working out, nutrition, and how the body works. As the weight came off, my blood pressure and cholesterol returned to normal and my physical appearance began to change. I felt amazing, my confidence soared, and everyone wanted to know how I made the transformation and continue to stay in shape. I love sharing my knowledge and helping others in their own journey.
